more from THE CHLOE CHRONICLES: Part V: "Springer Has Sprung"
On dog parks and doggie birthday parties in NYC
Hi Luvs - Just a quick intro today, because it’s a full moon day here in the Northeast USA, and my writing brain does not function at top form during full moons. We are all tidal creatures, after all, and I am one of those super-sensitive types who feels it ALL. So I am simply going to share the PDFs from the fifth installment of my series “The Chloe Chronicles” (which, as many of you already know, appeared in the late, great print magazine The Bark).
This installment is a very light piece which celebrates spring, rescue dogs, birthday parties, and life in New York City. You may have noticed that, because Bark was published quarterly, according to seasons, I was always asked to tailor each of my Chloe pieces to the pertinent season. So last week I shared a post set in the winter months. This week it’s spring. Yet here in the Northeast, we’re in the midst of an intense (and literally deadly) heat wave. No wonder my mind feels all over the place! Let’s blame the moon, shall we?
Now, on to Chloe. This piece originally appeared in Bark Magazine Volume 69, Spring 2012 edition. Illustration by Donna Grethen and brilliant bonus poem by Faith Shearin.
Please share the love. The world needs joy.
